Yes. The 30-minute consultation is free, and there is no obligation to enroll. It’s a conversation about your child: what you’re noticing, whether online tutoring is a good fit, and what a sensible next step would be.

Tell Hanna about your reader using the consultation form. She’ll reply by email to set up your free consultation, then explain the assessment, schedule, and cost before you decide anything.

Kindergarten through 12th grade. Hanna starts from your child’s current skills rather than their grade, so older students who still find decoding, spelling, or fluency hard are welcome.

Structured literacy can be appropriate for many students with dyslexia because it is explicit, cumulative, and language-based. Sisu Reading does not diagnose dyslexia or other learning disabilities. A formal evaluation must come from a qualified evaluator.

Sisu Reading uses structured literacy, grounded in the science of reading. Lessons follow a planned sequence of sounds and spelling patterns, and your child practices with texts that use exactly what they’ve learned.

There is no responsible way to promise a date. Progress depends on your child’s starting skills, learning needs, attendance, and response to instruction. Hanna checks progress along the way and adjusts lessons to what your child can do.

Hanna keeps notes on every lesson and shares progress with you along the way: what’s improving, what still needs practice, and what she recommends next.

A laptop or desktop computer, a USB document camera (such as the IPEVO V4K), a dry erase board and markers, a reliable internet connection, and a quiet place to write. The document camera lets Hanna see your child’s writing as it happens.

Cancel in the parent portal at least 24 hours before a lesson and you won’t be charged. Anything you already paid for that lesson becomes a credit on your next invoice. Cancellations with less notice, and missed lessons, are charged. If it’s because of illness or an emergency, let Hanna know.

Only when it helps. Hanna may suggest a little practice between lessons, and she’ll tell you exactly what it is.
